  1. it will be free, if u use someone elses internet
  2. most of the time it's free, unless your someplace where it says it's not. But it usually says Free WiFi.
  3. It depends, the basic pricing is up to the owner of the wifi, and believe me they have a wide range of charges between free and not free. Some places like Public Libraries offer Wifi for free to cardholders, who have a PIN for access, but some areas will limit the connection time allowed per day, or per session if it's a high-volume location. The time limit thing is also usalke by businesses, and McDonald's uses a seperate service to charge by the hour for their Wifi service, You find this out from their little brochures that say they offer Wifi, and then You go to the other company's site to buy a card that's reloadable at any McDonalds or online. Other places like Starbucks have a totally free connection, and no time limits, but of course they like to see You buy something to take up a table. Interestingly enough, here in Massachusetts, they're going to be offering totally free Wifi on the Commuter rail trains, and some lines already do. Should be worth a HUGE laugh at 50+ miles per hour. The ability of any computer to use a Wifi connection involves no further charges to have the hardware, it's the true connection to an online service that costs You a fee, whether You have the hardware or use theirs. And most schools allow a Wifi connectioon, but they have limiting software and firewalls that won;t allow certain things to be done or certain sites to be visited. this is also at the discretion of the Wifi owner - no matter where You are. Good Luck!.
